Yes, the trays can be washed on either the upper or lower rack in the dishwasher. You may notice a build up of soap residue over time.

For that reason, hand washing is best with hot water and a mild soap. If you notice soap residue, or want to give your trays a deep cleaning to remove odors, please follow the care instructions on this page.

Yes, Smootheeze trays are temperature-safe from -40° F to 425° F, and can be used for baking or cooking/heating in the oven and microwave.

Do not expose the trays to direct heat from the broiler in the oven.

Silicone is a porous material and it's possible for the surface layer to retain odors or stain.

However, Smootheeze is designed with a high-gloss finish on the surface of the trays and underside of the lid. This greatly reduces the chance of staining. After extensive testing, the only ingredient that tends to stain is turmeric. But even that fades and disappears over time.

It's advised to give you trays a deep clean by lightly scrubbing with a mixture of water, vinegar, salt, and lemon, followed by boiling. This will help remove any lingering odors, staining, or soap buildup. Please follow these deep cleaning instructions.

Smootheeze trays are highly durable and will last for decades with repeated use as instructed. Silicone can be easily cut with sharp knives and objects and will melt/warp when exposed to temps above 425° F.

Smootheeze trays are easy to care for and clean. Handwashing with warm soapy water is typically sufficient. The trays are also dishwasher safe.
