Hi, we’re Ross & Tess 👋

Like a lot of good ideas… this one started with a little bit of frustration.

Tess is an elementary school teacher, which means mornings move fast.

Smoothies were her go-to-breakfast: quick, healthy, easy (in theory).

But the reality? Not so smooth.

Picture this:
Half-awake.
Standing in the kitchen.
Trying to pry apart a rock-solid clump of frozen bananas.

Digging through a bag of freezer-burned berries, trying to get the perfect portion.

Making a mess before the day even starts.After enough mornings like that, we both had the same thought:

There has to be a better way to do this.

So… We Made One

We went looking for a simple solution to freeze bananas and prep smoothie ingredients.It didn’t exist.

So we created Smootheeze—a simple system to make smoothies as easy as they can be.

What are the trays made from?

Smootheeze freezer trays are made from a premium food-grade platinum silicone that's tested to ensure it exceeds FDA standards for food safety.

The advantage of silicone over plastic is that it's a naturally non-stick material that doesn't shed micro-particles.

We work with a reputable manufacturer based in China and work with a third-party lab to test our products to prove that they are BPA-free, PFAS-free, and do not contain or leech heavy metals.

What are the dimensions?

The large banana and half cup trays are 8.75" x 8.75" x 2"

The mini half cup trays are 6" x 6" x 2"

Are Smootheeze dishwasher safe?

Yes, the trays can be washed on either the upper or lower rack in the dishwasher. You may notice a build up of soap residue over time.

For that reason, hand washing is best with hot water and a mild soap. If you notice soap residue, or want to give your trays a deep cleaning to remove odors, please follow the care instructions on this page.

Can they be used in the oven or microwave?

Yes, Smootheeze trays are temperature-safe from -40° F to 425° F, and can be used for baking or cooking/heating in the oven and microwave.

Do not expose the trays to direct heat from the broiler in the oven.

Will the trays stain or retain odor?

Silicone is a porous material and it's possible for the surface layer to retain odors or stain.

However, Smootheeze is designed with a high-gloss finish on the surface of the trays and underside of the lid. This greatly reduces the chance of staining. After extensive testing, the only ingredient that tends to stain is turmeric. But even that fades and disappears over time.

It's advised to give you trays a deep clean by lightly scrubbing with a mixture of water, vinegar, salt, and lemon, followed by boiling. This will help remove any lingering odors, staining, or soap buildup. Please follow these deep cleaning instructions.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to all 50 states and PO Boxes/APO/FPO addresses.

Smootheeze is looking to expand to Canada and Australia in 2026.

What is the return policy?

We’re committed to ensuring you love your Smootheeze trays. If you’re not satisfied, we offer a 60-day return policy for a full refund with 100% covered shipping for the return.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, we offer a limited lifetime warranty on all of our products when used as instructed. We will replace or refund products that have manufacturing defects that affect use of the products.

Smootheeze trays are highly durable and will last for decades with repeated use as instructed. Silicone can be easily cut with sharp knives and objects and will melt/warp when exposed to temps above 425° F.

How do you clean and care for Smootheeze?

Smootheeze trays are easy to care for and clean. Handwashing with warm soapy water is typically sufficient. The trays are also dishwasher safe.

If you notice the build up of soap residue, stains, or odors, please follow these deep cleaning instructions.
